The Department of Business Administration at the Semarang State Polytechnic (Polines) again sent its delegation to the 4th National Business Administration Contest (BAC) which took place in Padang City, recently. The Polines delegation led directly by Rustono, SE, MM (Vice Director for Student Affairs Polines) participated in the group of department heads, lecturers, and Business Administration students.
This event brought together participants consisting of representatives from the Polytechnic Campus as well as allied Vocational Schools in various regions throughout Indonesia. Mayor of Padang, Mahyeldi Dt Marajo officially opened the 4th National Business Administration Contest (BAC) 2017 which was held in Padang City. Mahyeldi said, on behalf of the Padang City Government, he really welcomed the activity. "Hopefully it will bring positive things to all of us," he hoped when opening the activity, which was held at one of the five-star hotels in Padang, this.
According to Mahyeldi, the 4th National BAC is very appropriate to be held, as an effort to improve human resources (HR), especially among Polytechnic Campus students. It is known, he said, that current problems in Indonesia are still related to problems in the world of work, all of which are still influenced by limited human resources. "We certainly hope that the graduates of the Polytechnic Campus really have the skills and abilities in their fields, so that they can fill the existing job opportunities. For that, through this BAC, hopefully, it will hone, encourage and present a generation that has qualified human resources in their respective fields that are occupied while in college," he explained. "Because the competition in the future is getting tougher and it is those who have competence that are really needed by this country or nation in the future," he said.
The Chief Executive of the 4th National BAC, Nurhayati said, this activity is routinely held annually by the Student Coordination Board (Bakorma) of State Polytechnics throughout Indonesia. "Alhamdulillah, this year, we entrust the Padang State Polytechnic as the host," he said. He explained that this activity was attended by 16 State Polytechnics and 1 Medan LP3I Polytechnic with 128 participants accompanied by 34 accompanying lecturers. In this case, 8 fields will be contested. Namely Web Design, Secretarial Contest, Meeting Design, Business Presentation, Filling Contest, Master Ceremony, Typig Speed and Business Data Processing. The implementation was carried out at the Padang State Polytechnic Campus.
After participating in various stages of the competition, Polines in BAC managed to bring home various competition winners. They are Niswatul Ma'rifah (second place in the data processing contest), Anindita Anung Permata (second winner in the business presentation contest), and Nila Noor Ariska (the third winner in the filing contest).
