Polines Places 2 (two) Finalists in the 2017 Indonesian Bridge Contest

After going through the evaluation of the proposal, the Semarang State Polytechnic team (Polines) successfully advanced to the final round of the 13th Indonesian Bridge Competition (KJI-XIII). In this KJI, Polines succeeded in passing 2 teams that will compete at the Malang State Polytechnic campus (Polinema), 9-12 November.

Deputy Director for Student Affairs Polines, Rustono, SE, MM hopes that the competing teams will get the best results. "This result will increase the motivation of students to continue to excel," he said. He said, as a flashback, the Sipondra Polines Bow team with the bridge name "Wartasari Bridge" won first place in the Pedestrian Bow Bridge Category at KJI 2015. "The team that competed this year would be able to continue the tradition of winning," he hoped.

At KJI 2017, 2 (two) teams that advanced to the final round consisted of students majoring in Civil Engineering Polines. Namely, the Kamandika Team with the work of the Candhabirawa Bridge bridge was in the final for the Cold Canai Bridge Category and the Sipondra Arc Team with the work of Nattaya Irgiya was a finalist in the Arc Bridge Category.

Polines is the only university representative from Central Java who has successfully advanced to the final round in activities organized by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti) with Malang State Polytechnic (Polinema) as the executor of the activity.

In this KJI, 3 categories of bridges are competed. Namely, the Steel Bridge (7 finalists), Cold Canai Bridge (7 finalists) and Bow Bridge (8 finalists). Along with KJI, the 9th Indonesian Building Competition (KBGI-IX) was also held at the same location and time.
