One of our biggest challenges today is the issue of the quality of Human Resources (HR) in Indonesia. Most of the workforce in Indonesia has a low level of education and is categorized as unskilled labor or low-medium skilled. This is not only a challenge for us at the level of economic productivity, but also affects our competitiveness at the regional and global levels. To answer these challenges, the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education has set the 2019 strategic objectives that we will achieve, namely "Increasing the relevance, quantity and quality of highly educated human resources, as well as science and technology and innovation capabilities for the nation's competitive advantage".

At the end of his remarks, the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education said, in commemoration of the 72nd anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Indonesia, let us all work together to continue to build research, technology, and higher education with full integrity, work ethic, and the spirit of Gotong Royong, and always put the interests and future of the Indonesian nation first. .
