Polines – Hanze University of Applied Science Netherlands Establish Collaboration

Semarang State Polytechnic (Polines) cooperates with Hanze University of Applied Science Netherlands. This was marked by the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two parties

Lusia Maria Silitonga M.Pd (Head of Polines International Affairs Office) and Yusmar Ardhi Hidayat SE, M.Si (Head of Applied Undergraduate Study Program in International Business Management). Meanwhile, from Hanze University who had the opportunity to attend were Dr. Diederich Bakker (Professor of International Business and Head of Internationalization of the International Business Program), Simon van Der Wal, M.Sc (International Marketing Manager) and Eric Boer (International Coordination).

Director of Polines, Ir. Supriyadi, MT said that the two higher education institutions plan to develop Double Degree collaboration in international business lectures between the Applied Bachelor of International Business Management (MBI) study program majoring in Polines Business Administration and Hanze University International Business Management. "MBI Applied Undergraduate Study Program is conducting curriculum matching activities," he said. With the aim of developing a double degree3+1 program where MBI Applied Undergraduate Study Program students study 3 years at Polines and will continue 1 year at Hanze University by obtaining a double degree from the program.

While Drs. Rob Verhofstad (Vice President of Hanze University) said that his party is also interested in developing cooperation with Polines' civil engineering department. "To do research together," he explained. Namely in the field of water management systems for flood management. "The hope of this collaboration is to improve the quality and increase the accreditation of both institutions in education and research that are mutually beneficial for the next five years," he concluded.
