Three gold medals and one bronze medal from the National Polytechnic English Olympics (NPEO) X 2023 went to Semarang State Polytechnic. In the competition hosted by Sriwijaya State Polytechnic from Monday to Friday (19-23 June 2023), Semarang State Polytechnic delegation succeeded in winning the Gold Medal of Storytelling, the Champion of Master Category (David Adhitya Stumer), Gold Medal of Newscasting in Master Category (Catherine Widya Putri Stumer), Gold Medal of Newscasting in the Novice Category (Riska Nanda Fikaputri), and Bronze Medal of Story telling in the Master Category (Sevaldo Bargi Putra).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This achievement made Semarang State Polytechnic proud as the 5thth<\/sup> Runner Up Best Institutions in NPEO X 2023. NPEO is an annual agenda of the Student Affairs Coordinating Board (Bakorma), in the form of a competition in English competence for Polytechnic students throughout Indonesia. This year Sriwijaya State Polytechnic carried the theme \u201cBe proficient in English to empower Indonesian polytechnics for global citizenship education.\u201d NPEO raised five categories to be contested, namely Debate, Speech, Story Telling, Newscasting, <\/em>and writing.<\/em> There were 280 students from 59 polytechnics of different provinces in Indonesia participated in NPEO X 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Semarang State Polytechnic Team for NPEO X consists of seven students, they are David Adhitya Stumer, Catherine WidyaPutriStumer, Riska Nanda Fikaputri), SevaldoBargi Putra, Felix Kenrick, Hanna Maghfiroh, and MashohifahIzzi. David admitted, \u201cAttending NPEO in Palembang has been one of the most memorable moments of my life. Aside from the competition we participated in, the many new friends made, and the new places visited were truly the main contributors to this unforgettable experience. The best outcomes in the competition were achieved from our team. Thanks to the unlimited guidance from our dearest lecturers and countless hours of hard work.\u201d David Adhitya Stumer has participated in NPEO for three years. He is an outstanding participant as he is the Champion of Storytelling in the Master Category in NPEO X, the Champion of Newscasting in the Master Category in NPEO IX, and the Champion of Speech in the Master Category in NPEO VIII.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Dewi Anggraeni, S.Pd., M.Pd., the PIC of the team, is proud of the achievement. She said that the success was the harmonious collaboration of related parties, such as the Polines Language Center and the Polytechnic English Conversation Club (PECC).
