Starting from buildings, customs, to various kinds of culinary. However, today&#039;s young generation may only know of Milkfish Juwana and Lunpia as the typical food of the city of Semarang.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Even though there are many other interesting culinary specialties from Semarang, one of which is Jamu Jun. When you hear his name for the first time, maybe what you imagine is a drink resembling a herbal medicine that tastes bitter. But don&#039;t get me wrong, this drink doesn&#039;t taste bitter at all, but on the contrary, herbal jun has a sweet taste and causes a warm effect after drinking it. This is because Jamu Jun is made from various kinds of spices that can warm the body such as ginger, fennel, deaf, and others. Jamu Jun has a similar texture to Candil porridge but is more fluid. Usually served in a small bowl and comes with <em>create<\/em> or balls from sticky rice.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to history, Jamu Jun itself comes from the north coast of Java, such as Jepara and Demak. However, because of the many sellers of Jamu Jun who migrated to Semarang, then it was better known as a typical drink of Semarang. In the Demak area itself, this drink is known as Jamu Coro. The origin of the name Jun itself is because the sellers use a long-necked jug called &quot;Jun&quot; to peddle their wares, the way to carry it is by <em>upheld<\/em> (re:appointed).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">However, it is very unfortunate that now Jamu Jun is very rare to find in Semarang. And not many people know about this drink anymore. Armed with this fact, the Polynes Student Creativity Program (PKM) team took the initiative to preserve one of Semarang&#039;s culinary delights. Not only preserving, but also providing innovation so that they can compete with various contemporary culinary delights that are increasingly mushrooming.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Rizqiana Nurmalita, the leader of the PKM Polines team, believes that the younger generation should not be indifferent to the various cultural heritages owned by each region. He also explained about the innovations that his team made as an effort <em>branding<\/em> New Jun&#039;s herbs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&quot;We are trying to make Jamu Jun more familiar with the younger generation, so we created a variant of Jamu Jun which is enjoyed with ice and given <em>toppings<\/em>. We call it Djamoe Djoen Blend. In addition, we also have a Jamu Jun variant in an instant powder version which is more practical and can target various groups,&quot; he said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Student Creativity Program (PKM) itself is expected to be a forum for students to develop their ideas by applying them in a business as well as for service and research programs.
